DIY Festive Wreath
An aroma-filled pine wreath provides a blank canvas for creating a spectacular holiday work of art to be hung on a door or displayed as a table centerpiece.
First, choose a 25-inch fresh pine wreath, such as Fraser Fir, Douglas or Balsam. If you’re planning to hang the wreath, leave an empty spot for the focal piece, such as a burlap bow, metal wire angel or twine bell.
Next, attach florist wire to assorted pinecones in pairs or individually. Securely attach the wired pinecones to a branch of the wreath close to the wreath’s frame. For color, tie wired ornament balls into clusters, or attach florist wire to glitter berry ball ornaments. Red, green or gold glitter berry stems can also be used. Or, switch it up with a more nontraditional color scheme with purples, blues, greys, etc. Randomly attach the ornaments in the same fashion as the pinecones or stick the berry stems through the wreath.
Finally, if using, wire the focal piece to the undecorated area of the wreath. Now, sit back, relax and enjoy the compliments.
